Introducing Petra Urešová, team leader for the network of contracting doctors

Petra has been working for the EUC group since 2013, when she joined the department responsible for the network of contracting doctors at the company then known as Kardia following maternity leave. There she served in the position of consultant for the network of contracting doctors. She recently accepted a new professional challenge, gaining the position of team leader in the same department, with which she is very familiar and feels at home.

What is your job and what does your work consist of?

I am currently becoming familiar with new tasks, absorbing information and getting ready for my new role. My work will consist in ensuring a comprehensive agenda of occupational medical services in the regions, including organisation of vaccinations and ensuring the operation and development of the network of contracting doctors in accordance with clients’ requirements and our company’s standards.

In addition to occupational medical services, we also organise tailored Health Days for clients with the aim of supporting a healthy lifestyle. These events take place directly at the client’s place of business in the form of talks, workshops and individual programmes focusing on various topics such ergometry, physiotherapy, first-aid training, ophthalmology, dental hygiene, plantoscopy, dermatology and nutritional counselling.

I will newly be responsible also for the Doctors’ Zone. For the purpose of efficient provision of healthcare services, we are working hard to ensure that most of our doctors use our electronic portal, which is directly connected with the Corporate Zone service that our clients have the option of using. A great benefit of the Corporate Zone is the possibility to electronically make appointments for occupational medical examinations for employees, check the result of a particular employee’s examination immediately upon its completion and to keep a list of employees, which the client itself can manage. Another benefit is, for example, automatic invoicing of such examinations directly from the system.

In what way is the network of cooperating doctors crucial for clients?

We most commonly look for a contracting doctor due to a lack of capacities in the given location or due to a new client operating in a location where having a doctor available was not previously necessary. Our objective is to ensure the presence of a contracting doctor directly at the location where the client has its place of business so that employees do not have to travel too far for examinations. In such cases, it often happens that the contracting doctor is also the registering physician for the client’s employees, so he or she is very well aware of their medical condition, which is very beneficial when assessing an employees’ medical fitness.

In such cases, the standard process involves:

  • Monitoring of the location and selection of a suitable facility/clinic.
  • Contacting the doctor and basic explanation of cooperation.
  • In-person visit to the clinic with signing of the contract on cooperation, handover of documents and training with respect to the means of cooperation, invoicing and working with assessments, among other things.
  • Presentation and training on the OMS Doctors’ Zone
  • After signing the contract, it is necessary to enter the facility into internal databases and hand over information to other teams.

This whole process takes several days and we are always glad when we succeed in finding a great partner to join us in taking care of clients and their employees.

In what way does your work in this position fulfil you?

What I find most fulfilling so far is the cooperation and building good relationships with the contracting doctors in the regions and the excellent relationships with my colleagues across our company. Right now I most look forward to the diversity of tasks ahead of me that I haven’t encountered before.
